HTML and CSS are enough to get a job for you in small companies where they need minimal web development skills to perform the task. However, to get a dream job with a handsome salary, you need to add your skills to a language such as JavaScript.

HTML is the language that is the beginning of learning web development to make the structure of a web application. On the other hand, to style the HTML elements a web developer needs to learn CSS(cascading style sheets).
There are plenty of websites online which are only made by HTML and CSS. Even I can tell you some websites where you can find the website templates which are made with only HTML and CSS such as tooplate, free-css.com.
What’s that mean is there is requirements for you people. The companies that made just templates need people with basic HTML and CSS skills. These companies will give you an entry-level job, but the pay scale will not be impressive.

I would suggest you select a course where they will give you tasks or small projects in HTML and CSS to complete during the learning process. Moreover, some websites provide you with a certificate after completing the course.
The importance of projects and certificate is crucial because you can make your portfolio which you can use to grab the job. Moreover, these tasks fill you up with confidence to clear the interview.

You can apply for more jobs while learning HTML and CSS. This does not matter that you have only basic skills. There are different jobs available in the market. You need to get some basic knowledge of WordPress, drupal along with HTML and CSS to land a job for you.
The jobs you can get while learning are:-
- HTML Email Developer:- Your responsibility will be to start email campaigns for the companies, assist with the email development manager or specialist.
- Content Editor/Web producer:- You have to look after the companies website in regards to content. The content manager will send you content, and you have to edit and put it online. You might need some knowledge of WordPress and FTP services with good communication skills.
- Product Editor:– If you are familiar with WordPress, this job is easy for you. You have to change the product details on the website of the company. You might have to ask to change the menu, make a landing page or a link on the website.
- Website Support Specialist:- You have to provide customer services by solving the customer’s problem regarding there websites. You have to do debugging and troubleshoot the technical issues.

A junior web developer needs to assist the mid-level web developers and the senior web developers in the company. All you need to do is help them with their small day-to-day tasks such as making website menus, uploading images, etc.
Even if you know the basics of JavaScript, you can still get the job.

- Teaching:- Once you have the command of HTML and CSS, you can teach these languages to beginners. There are plenty of websites to register as a teacher and train your students online.
